The Original Watch Dogs is Free For a Limited Time on Uplay

Everybody loves to embrace the Christmas spirit during this time of the year, including many game publishers, believe it or not. Publishers are mostly all about maximizing profits, however, they do try to give back to the community as well every once in a while. Much like last year during this period, Ubisoft has decided to give away a bunch of free games for a limited time. This time around, the freebie comes in the form of the original Watch Dogs. Similar to the World in Conflict and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag giveaways announced earlier this month, Watch Dogs will only be free for a few days, so hurry up.

Although Watch Dogs 2 is arguably the better game, the original sold a lot more copies and is generally seen as the most successful of the two. Despite that, the original Watch Dogs is still a pretty fun game all things considered. In order to get your hands on the game, just log into your Uplay account or create a new one and add Watch Dogs to your library. Once that’s taken care of, the game will be yours to keep forever. That’s it, no strings attached. According to the official website, the promotion runs between December 18 – 23 so make sure you grab a copy before the deal expires.

In addition to giving out free games, Ubisoft is currently also hosting a Christmas sale featuring some pretty beefy discounts. The discounts start at 10% off and can get up to 75% off for certain titles. Some of the highlights include Watch Dogs 2 at 65% off, The Division at 70% off, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands at 58% off, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole at 50%. Even the recently released Assasin’s Creed Origins is available at 30% for both the Standard and Gold editions. The store also mentions that a new deal will be available every day so keep your eyes peeled for even more great offers.
